Dawn (S1 Ep.19-5)
She
left Francis with the olive trees, near the Mausoleum, and followed for her
bike. Joan revived every moment in her mind during the ride to the Palace. She
was making an effort to retrieve the memories before that terrible night,
another time where she had been in the presence of that girl, but nothing. She
had no memory of that face until that night. In her mind, it was not for a mere
chance her presence in those tunnels.
The
more she thought about their escape, more details were revealed to her. Joan remembered
seeing the girl standing, standing in the square of the seven gates, she was
securing the escape of the guardians and Joan’s. When Joan conducted the ritual,
was that girl who gave her the answer she needed. It wasn't a coincidence her
presence there... Joan felt her energy and it was pure. With the certainty that
she gained, one more thought came to her. "Would she be a witch of the White
Mantle too!?"
Rose and Kat
After
the break of yesterday, it's time to get back to work. It’s fifteen minutes
past seven in the morning, Diane went to ask to open the gates of the palace
garden, Monic and I stayed waiting next to it, Charlie left us and went to the
lab with Sofie and Joan sent a message saying that she was on her way.
Today
we are going to help in the final installation of the stage. The Laboratory
equipment is on its way and after all done, we start the testing and
inspections phase. Everything has to be secure and aligned with the projection for
the show.
With
the opening of the gates we follow then to the Lake garden, as we passed by old
gates that guarded the secrets of the ancient kings, I felt a shiver up my
spine. It was like a breeze, a whisper saying my name gently.
Rose:
Did you hear that?
Monic:
What?
Rose:
Someone call for me!
Dianne:
Did Joan arrive? – Looked back ...
Rose:
She said she was already on her way, but ...
Monic:
And here she comes.
Dianne:
So, Miss late, didn't want to get out of bed?
Joan:
I can't let Hercules and Megara without rations and fresh water.
Rose:
Did you call for me?
Joan:
Huh?
Rose:
Now. Coming to us here, did you call for me?
Joan:
No.
Dianne:
You didn't sleep much, did you? - Said before the tired eyes of Joan and her,
nothing normal, slow response. - Let's just see how things are and then we go get
cafes to everyone, all right.
Joan:
Good. I need to wake up. Arriving just here a nuthole almost drive me over, its
horn is still buzzing in my ear.
Rose:
Are you okay?
Joan:
Yes! In fact, it was mostly my fault, I was a little distracted... - Not
wanting to get into more details, soon changed the subject. – All along the
way, from the Fountain to the Lake, will be extended the Red Carpet, on the day
before the show and posted the scores I had made with the logos of "Bonnet
Oil ", KoffyBreak and Kat Rose Fashion. All these lights above us will remain
and we still have one more set to put on de entrance gates.
Rose:
It's fantastic, Joan. Couldn't ask for more. I love what you've done so far!
Dianne:
the Red Carpet walk is wonderful, it is true, but wait till you see the sets for
the stage. We made some minor adjustments with the help of "Sweet Technology"...
When
we arrive at the Lake we couldn't see the stage nor the seats. Because of the
rain was raised a structure to put a big awning and so protect the progress
made in the recent weeks. Now didn't look like anything special, but with the
enthusiasm of the descriptions of Dianne, I could see everything that I asked
them to come true.
Dianne:
... In the Lake will be placed small floating buoys, which will be anchored to not
get far from the point set and each float will have three small LEDs. We did a
bit of a funny game with the set of light, it's going to be fantastic. The
small awning on the other side of the Lake will be maintained there and will
be placed two more, one on each side, for two different dance floors. KoffyBreak
has available pouffes and low tables, which will be placed outside.
Joan:
We take advantage of the new mobile stands, like the ones we use at the
Festival, remember?
Rose:
Yes.
Joan:
To make the bars of the "After Party". We have catering and snacks.
It's going to be one of the best parties ever.
Dianne:
We planned everything in detail. From the newer to the older, everyone will
have an unforgettable experience.
Rose:
My question is simple.
Dianne:
You mentioned the singular what isn’t all bad.
Rose:
Well, I have many, but for now, there is one that worries me more than all the
others. Will we get everything ready in time?
Despite
all the work is already done there seems to be so much more to be yet done.
Actually, it's the nerves messing with my mind, I know. But this fear inside,
this fear of failure sometimes has the ability to shake my certainty.
