You're not yourself (S1 Ep2-5)
Saturday, June 1
Today is International Children's Day, and all around the city, there are activities for the whole family to spend a very special, and fun day!
With preparations for the parade and the ball almost finalized, the main task this weekend was to distribute flyers and post posters so that all parents and students come to visit the exhibitors of summer jobs and the festivals.
Dianne is in charge of the creation and guidance of the groups for the tasks and, of course, we are all present for support and help.
When we got to school, Joan and I, looked for our group in the scores fixed at the gym entrance and went to the meeting. Joan has been a little hectic, I don't know what's going on, she doesn't say. This week it seemed that she didn't rest anything, and went to school with black eyes, begging for rest, however, her tired expression kept her alert and with a worried face. Maybe, the idea of opening the ball with a fashion show now seems too cumulative work with everything else we have to do and being afraid to fail with everyone else as she committed says nothing about it.
The looks, that she crossed with me, seemed watching me as if she wanted to say something, but at the same time, as if she was waiting for me to react first. She's not herself lately and I'm starting to get really worried.
Dianne: Thank you all for coming! We are a week from the beginning of the fair and two for the ball. So what I'm asking is that leverage today to distribute flyers around town and during the rest of the week. When you finish those you can go to the Student’s Association’s room to get more.
Sofie: Dianne could run this school. Her planning and organization skills are amazing! - A thought that Sofie shares with me as she admires the work that Diane has done these past few weeks. And I couldn't agree more.
Rose: You're right... – In a lower tone, I added. - She could run a company, she could help us...
Sofie: What?!
Rose: No, nothing. It was just an idea...
Dianne: Today let's split up into three groups. With me are the decorations, to be finished. With Charlie is the ones who will distribute flyers around town. And with Johana is who's going to fix the posters around the school.
With the introduction of the tasks, all who gathered in the gym dispersed in the direction of the group leaders. For some reason, Joan moved to Charlie’s group. And without saying anything about it, after talking with Diane went outside…
Joan: Dianne, I know I'm in the decoration, but there is any problem if I go with Charlie's group just for today. I’ve got a few things to do in the city, as I distribute the flyers I could get them done!
Dianne: sure, no problem.
Elizabeth, who was in the group of Johana, snuck up behind Charlie's group as she realised the exchange that Joan had done. She was determined to find out if Joan and Stella were the same person or not. And then followed her to the parking lot.
Elizabeth: I help ...
Joan: Thank you!
Elizabeth: You’re welcome! Joan, right?
Joan: Yes.
Elizabeth: I'm Elizabeth. Funny how we've been so long in the same halls and at times like this, you can see so many new faces.
Joan: Yes Elizabeth, unity is strength. When you need we all come to help.
Elizabeth: It's true!
Charlie: Thanks, girls! Jump in Joan, I give you a ride to the Centre. Dianne already filled me in on your exchange.
Joan: Thanks, Charlie! Will you come with us Elizabeth?
Elizabeth: No! Thanks, but I'm already set. - Fascinated by the similarity between Joan and Stella moved away from the car, giving them passage, thinking ...- "How is it possible such resemblance!?”
