Joan and her Grandmother (S1 Ep.3-11)
Joan called wondering what kept me so busy that I couldn’t go yesterday and then I told her the news. I noticed once more in a strangeness not only in her voice as the little enthusiasm with which she received the news. Definitely, nothing like Joan.
As I spent the day doing things for the kitten I didn't realize the time pass, I was really entertained. Nevertheless, in our group, we do not have the habit of being in a constant exchange of messages. There are certain matters that we like to keep it for when we meet personally. Dianne would not accept otherwise, in her words, "I silence my phone to stay focused on what I’m doing". An ideology easy to identify with, and I confess that the evenings together are very enthusiastic for the shares at the time.
However, from what I understand, whenever Joan visits her grandmother, she keeps her pretty busy. Joan's grandmother, Mrs Beatrice, is the owner of the olive groves that produce olive oil "Bonet" and give Joan her testimony of the secrets of the olive oil is the excuse that her grandmother arranges to have Joan around and talking about family history. What happens much more often in the last month.
Joan is my best friend, but I don't know the history of her family that well. What I knew was that Joan was very strange since her birthday. Which coincidently match with the time we start this whole idea to work in a few pieces to sell and with the fact that her paternal grandmother asks, more regularly, for her visit in order to "pass the testimony of the secrets of the olive oil".
After thinking a bit about the subject was when I realized... - "Oh my God, I’ve been such a poor friend, how didn’t I noticed earlier. Joan's grandmother should not be in good health and that's why she's so weird." - could this be the reason behind her changes?!
After turn off the call Joan went to the living room, where Mrs Beatrice was...
Mrs Beatrice: More calm?
Joan: Sorry Grandma! Yes, it was just a feeling, but it's all right with Rose.
Mrs Beatrice: No matter my dear. Your friendship is something very special and should be generous, always, to each other.
Joan: We are best friends and I think we're going to be forever.
Mrs Beatrice: Oh, I don't doubt that... – Said getting the old-looking book, who was on the coffee table next to the couch.
