The reach of imagination (S1 Ep.4-5)
Without a single word from Joan on the subject hiding in her eyes, after lunch, we clean the table, organize the kitchen, check on Kat and went up to my bedroom.
I put the file on the desk and, piece by piece, I showed Joan which ones have I did for the kitten…
Joan: Wow, no doubt that will be a great idea to add articles for pets.
Rose: Do you really think so?
Joan: Of course! And your idea of personalization service for outfits it’s great! I know the girls will love it.
Rose: I did some research on how to make the project viable. – Sat on the desk chair and turned on the computer. I wanted to show the work that I had already done and add the ideas Joan gave. – I based my search on guidelines for who is to start a project and, also, in some examples of similar ideas. I took many notes and created a list of some important steps to follow as we develop the project and therefore have a solid foundation. These are some sketches of how I visualize the space, what do you think?
Joan: Good job Rose, is getting fantastic. If I close my eyes it looks like I can see the project done.
Rose: We still have a long way to go, but we'll get there!
Joan: Yes, we will! You're not upset about me not being able to stay this afternoon working with you, are you?
Rose: No Joan, I just think you're really weird since we started with this idea. At first, I thought it was because you didn't want to continue with this project…
Joan: No, it's not like that… I really need to go to my grandma's house! Tomorrow we could go to the Municipal Library, work a little in the city. What do you say?
Rose: Yes it can be! Look, I'm going to make a weekly schedule, to divide the time by project, pieces to work on and we should not forget the summer tournament. All right? – Now I'm confused when Joan mentioned that she’ll go to her grandma's house her’s nervous TIC didn't pop up. "She is really going there!? What's going on!"
Joan: Good! A work schedule! Yes, ma’am! You look like Dianne, the master of planning and organization.
Rose: This time I took a page from Dianne’s book, for sure. I feel different, perhaps more confident even. And I really want our project to be successful.
Joan: With dedication and commitment…
Rose: …Anything is possible!
Joan: That's right. Beauty, I've got to go.
Rose: All right! I go downstairs with you.
Surrounded by curiosity I followed Joan to the front door without insisting on the subject that left her so different...
Joan: Tomorrow to the library then!
Rose: Yes, it's a deal.
Joan: At 9 o'clock is good?
Rose: Is great. Starting early in the morning I get time to work on the pieces in the afternoon. Do you want me to ask Charlie to get us there?
Joan: On vacation he gets up so early?
Rose: Yes! He’s working on the beach, start at 10 am, but he always go sooner. You know how he loves sports, he must give his run and his dive first.
Joan: Yes, I know. Okay then! Send me a text when you leave home and I’ll wait for you at the gate.
Rose: Okay. See you tomorrow Joan.
Joan: Ah... And in the meantime, if you find out something more about the mystery of the mask let me know.
Rose: All right. I’ll do it. Rest assured.
