At the KoffyBreak (S1 Ep.7-4)

Sunday, September 1
First day of September! This day marks many transitions and as such we have created our own ritual. Spend this day together! We had lunch, we share the adventures of summer vacation and spent the rest of the day sunbathing, contemplating the party that is to come, the official "farewell summer" before school.
With the opening of this new space, right next to the beach, I suggested to the girls that we made our lunch of September first at KoffyBreak.
I don't believe in coincidences, I believe things happen for a reason, that it is sometimes difficult for us to see, so what are the chances of passing on a street, you walk thru many times and, on a day that wasn’t supposed be around here, you noticed something that you've never seen before? The strange thing is that we didn’t hear of an opening. We've been very busy this vacations, but we follow the events and this we missed? Exactly! For me, this is a sign, about what I don't know yet...
Anyway, when I came here the first time, with Joan and Charlie, I loved the space, so cosy, so fresh, a very good environment. It's exactly how I imagine a beach area, has this twisted bar touch mixed with the relaxed atmosphere, yet is a closed environment, with the exception of the esplanade.
Dianne: This summer we've had so little time together. What's new with you girls?
Joan: It's true! First year with summer jobs. It was so exciting. How did it go?
Dianne: In a word, fantastic. But now the task is another.
Monic: Dianne is well is when she is planning and organizing. Already have everything ready for Saturday!

Dianne: Not everything, everything! On Friday we will make the assembly of the space. And we still have to spread the word.
Sofie: I'm working on it with the techno group.
Rose: You are really amazing! How old are you girls?!
Monic: You have come a good way too. I saw you in stand at the Festival all excited, didn't look like our little Rose!
Rose: I loved it girls, it was an incredible experience. Thanks Diane for the opportunity.
Dianne: Oh! The merit is all yours, I hope you have been well paid by the impeccable work you've done. Ah, that's right! And speaking of merit, we have news for you... We were contacted by the party commission to act on this year's Christmas party.
Joan: Seriously?! That’s amazing!
Dianne: Yes! Seriously! They loved our performance at the Festival.
Rose: Congratulations girls!
Joan: Well, now there’s no one stopping you!
Sofie: Only our mothers!
Monic: That’s right! We have to keep the grades up, otherwise, we get grounded and no more concerts.
I know how it feels! Sometimes we don't understand the reasons of our parents. Study gives us opportunities and, in some cases opportunities they didn’t had, is that what they want for us, that we have opportunities, that we may achieve our dreams.
Our actions have an impact, not only on our lives, as in the lives of those who surround us. "Knowledge is power!" That's what my mom says. Although I never really understood the meaning of this sentence, after I started working on the project with Joan, I began to understand its meaning. The more I researched, the more contact I had with others, more information I absorbed, the more prepared I felt. And I can't deny, more confident…
