From the library to the School's Bar (S1 Ep.8-2)

While thru the thought of Joan I'd be at the school’s bar, recovering from the illness I felt, in fact, I kept myself alert watching the door of the library every second, waiting for her arrival at any time. I was afraid that the time she spent at the secretary had passed faster than I could imagine and she had followed me this far. I couldn't be further from her purpose to stay there.
However, greater was my astonishment with the result of my research...
Rose: ... What the hell does this mean? "For the present time".
Several were the facts that I had scheduled from the strange attitudes of Joan or  which involved her, such as when she disappeared into her family's mausoleum, a feat of magic, by the way, such as her diary appeared alone on top of her desk again and again, such as she talked Latin expressions making some weird things happen and the most notorious of all this strangeness was the existence of the "subject" that made her stay without giving news for more than a day, which made her hide and keep secrets from her best friend.
For a minute I focused myself in these topics. Latin... People disappearing… Objects that move alone… These flashes… It was as if I was in a trance as if they had taken me to another dimension and... When Joan touched me brought me to reality… "the present time".
It is not possible! Is it? Would this be the complicated subject that Joan couldn't talk about? No, I can't believe. If it was she would know that she could talk to me about it, I wouldn't judge her. It would be hard to believe, I admit it. I always liked the supernatural, but in fairy tales. In real life doesn't exist! Does it?! And what's that got to do with it?

My thoughts were on fire. I cleaned the history file in the computer I used, put it in hibernation and went to the bar, hoping to see Joan there. I found myself imagining an excuse for my absence. No, this isn't our friendship and I won’t turn it into this, excuses and lies. With the direction of my research, my sense of alert went off, telling me that it was not the time nor place to pull for a subject like this.
The sight of the girls drove me to their table. To my amazement, Joan had not yet arrived. I felt a certain relief, I confess.
In conversation with the girls the time flew, so many were the news and expectations for this new school year that we shared and observed. The time to start the first class approached and the girls decided to get going to the classroom. I kept waiting for Joan, who had promised to be brief, however, I didn't know the subject that had to lead her to the school’s secretary and depending on this short is never quite that short. After most of the students present at the school’s bar disperse there she appeared. We were already late…
Rose: Joan, where have you been?
Joan: Sorry Rose! I was just taking care of an issue in the secretary, as I told you. Are you feeling better?
Rose: Yes, thank you. It was certainly a weakness. The nerves about the first day of school, the expectation of everyone reaction, after the tournament, a bad breakfast taken, well, it was an accumulate.
Joan: And the girls?
Rose: They went to the classroom already. I took it while I was waiting for you to relax a little more.
Joan: Thank you.
Rose: Let's go, then?
Joan: Yes! I'm dying to know who are the new teachers.
