The opposite idea of confrontation (S1 Ep.8-8)

Dear Diary,
The second day of school went pretty well, except for my little test to Joan, which she failed completely. If Joan had magic, if such capability existed, what would be the problem of her tell me? A secret pact, maybe! But with who? I don't like it. I don’t like this feeling of hiding something from me and what's worse is I feel like I'm close to the answers, but she doesn't want to talk about the "subject"… Not on purpose, a message from Joan, "I'm on my way". Must have felt her ears boiling from I’ve be writing about her.
The curiosity that I felt made it difficult to focus on the work it was ahead of me. My mind jumped between, "confrontation" and "not confrontation"!
The "no confrontation" ended up winning! With the arrival of Joan, my expectation, that she wanted to open up to me, quickly went down the drain. She put down her purse and coat and came right to me, without space for questions, full of desire to get her hands to work.
Joan: So, where do we start?
Rose: I'm taking the measures to make the moulds to confection the pieces…

Joan: ... And what do you want me to do?
Rose: You could advance the calendar of tasks as I did for the summer!? What do you think of the update be made weekly? If there are other appointments, or if you have to "take care of something," we point it in the calendar, to better organize our free time. Oh, I think it would also be useful to put on it a section with the steps where we're going, so if you can't come for some reason, the work does not have to be in the middle, after I do mine, I’ll advance yours and write it down. So, we don't lose the train and we get an idea of how long each piece takes to be made.
My words made Mikhael’s take a greater weight. Throughout the whole summer, Joan had pushed aside her best friends, had hidden from us her true nature, isolated herself when it came to this subject. She knew it was wrong, but the voice inside told her that this burden was hers and hers also was the obligation to undo what she had created.
Joan: All right! I get it, I'm on it.
While each developed the task ahead silence was heard.
Analyze piece by piece, visualizing its shape, calculate each centimetre is one of the most labour-intensive and most important steps. From the mould we start shaping the fabric, we start to shape the piece!
Rose: Joan, let’s take a break for lunch?
Joan: Good idea! Look, I have the calendar almost ready, when we get back take a look, okay?
Rose: Of course! Come on then?!
We made a break for a few minutes and addressed ourselves to downstairs to have lunch. In the middle of the stairs Joan remembered she had left the phone upstairs. As I was at the beginning of the descent she asked me. ..
Joan: Rose, would you please go to my purse and bring me my phone?
Rose: Wait a second. It's in what bag?
Joan: It must be in the bigger one!
I did want to believe what my eyes saw. When I open the purse there was, one more piece of the puzzle that involves Joan, this strange book, old-looking and with the word "Grimoire". - The book of witches!
