The sunset (T1 Ep.7-9)
Our group was under the guidance of Dianne. And while she met with more monitors of this party, we cleaned up our space.
Between food, games and conversation, time was passing by us. We help in the collection of voting boxes, in the assembly of the awning and in the bonfire. We've extended the lunch to snack and dinnertime was already nearby. It was almost time for the delivery of prizes. However, before that was still time for one last swim and watch one of the greatest gifts of nature, the sunset, with all its colours, magnificent!
With the vanishing of the last ray of light began the bonfire. I told you, this day is amazing. Is the most fantastic farewell party of the summer there is.
While the festivities for the delivery of the bowls began, Sofie noticed that Dianne was sitting by the sea, gazing the horizon and joined her.
Sofie: Dianne! I really am sorry. But I think there's a part of the history you need to know.
Dianne: Sofie, I'm not mad at you and I sincerely hope that nothing changes our friendship. - After all, today was the day I saw Dianne cry. Without holding more tears continued. - Why? I just wanted to know why he pushed me away?
Sofie: Sometimes, the biggest blind is the one who does not want to see, Dianne! He always liked you and, if you'd given an opportunity today, you'd have seen that he still likes. Why do you think he stayed here this summer? We cannot control our will, much less the will of our parents. What they do, they do because they believe to be the best for us, even when is not. Since we got together through the gates of the school on the first day of classes, you didn't give him a chance to explain himself. If you put the feelings a little aside, you will see that the only one who changed was you! He didn’t push you away. When he spoke of you was with much enthusiasm, until we return to school he said repeatedly that I would love to meet you, you were the most amazing girl but the truth is that you never gave him a chance…
Dianne: Opportunity!? I saw you holding hands at school! He was so entertained that he did not hear me calling. A whole summer apart and he didn’t even come to me on the first day. I... I couldn't bear that he liked so much to be alone with you.
Sofie: He didn't want to be alone with me. He was glad to have discovered a new cousin and wanted to share that joy with you. I remember, before you and Monic changed school, he said, "today is the day you will meet her", "you're going to like her, you're going to see" but you isolate yourself from him, whenever we approached, on the playground, you'd play somewhere else and then Christmas came and after that, you did not. I can't tell you how he cried, he just kept saying “I’ll find her” and finally found. Don't be silly, just give him a chance.
Dianne: I thought he wanted to show off because he was the only one who played with the new girl. Oh, Sofie, I’m so sorry!
Sofie: You know, he was right. I really loved meeting you!
We knew they had a lot to talk about, so we were watching from a safe distance, but with the hug between the two Monic realized it was a good time for us to join all together.
Monic: So girls, let's see the awards?
In a turn of events, we were all together, celebrating the conquest of second place, for me and Joan, on volleyball tournament, the conquest of Charlie and his partner and his team for first place, in the tournament of volleyball and beach football and he still won the medal of fellowship.
With determination and hard work, we can do it! I knew it was going to be difficult, practically impossible bit Charlie, but I have to admit, the first time in the tournament and win the second place, felt really good!
