I got to be strong (S1 Ep.16-6)

Thursday, January 2
I can't wait to put the girls aware of the news. I have lots of ideas for the show and I hope to pass them my enthusiasm. After revealing to them the project I was a little anxious to invite them to join, however, knowing that they’re super busy with the extracurricular activities I stopped myself. The project has required a lot from me and Joan, not counting the sacrifices of overtime that mom has done so that all the pieces stay ready in time. In my mind, I thought that Joan had been an assiduous presence, but now I know it wasn't like that. I wouldn't lie to myself! I chose to believe in my journal.
There was so much I wanted to get clean, I can't be without answers, but for now, I would keep calm. The girls are coming! I want to expose my suggestions, make the proofs of the outfits ... Here we wouldn't have the privacy that we need so I would wait for another day until we get to the weekend, there, far from the movements of in and outs, would have an opportunity to confront Joan.
This will be the first year that we all together will go to Dianne’s Lake House. A new tradition that we want to build. Little more than two years remaining until we go to the University will be inevitable our paths grow away more and more. However, regardless of our professional choice, or of our lifestyle, we want to keep this union, so Dianne suggested we spend the first weekend of the year at her Lake House. We would meet on New Year’s Eve for our ritual, spending the weekend at the "gossip", with the news and chatter that only personally may be numbered.

The sound of the door! Here they are!
Rose: Glad you made it girls. Come in, come in. I'm dying to tell you the news.
Sofie, Joan, Dianne and Monic: Hello, Rose!
Joan: I brought some sweets from my grandmother ... For our snack. – I couldn't help but notice the ease and quiet way of Joan. Acting as if nothing happened… She really is different. I have to find the strength to react in the same way.
Rose: Thank you, Joan. Put it in the kitchen, please.
Dianne: I also have a little treat for us...
Rose: Oh Diane, you too! You know the table is still full, right?!
Here in my town, we have the tradition of having a table set with sweets, snacks and drinks from Christmas until Kings Day. This is because since the birth of the holy baby until the visit of Kings, we combine visits to family and friends. In this period it is common to hear on the street people asking each other if the "Baby Pee", this means if there's still eat and drink on the Christmas table. And if the answer is positive is arranged a visit to each one house.
Monic: Until Kings Day we can abuse a little in the candy. "It's Christmas, it's all right!"
Rose: So, Let’s do it this way! Bags and coats in the closet. We go to the garage to get a plate and bring it here to the dining room. I have some ideas that I want to share with you.
Joan: Ideas?! – Said admired looking at the file folders on the table. - What I don't know?
Rose: Easy Joan. You're going to understand. I almost didn't sleep to prepare some surprises, but I get there.
With their coats and bags stowed away in the closet under the stairs. We went to the garage. Each took a plate and served it to taste. Back to the dining room, we sit in the same places as our "meetings". It was funny to see! It seemed like at school, we pre-selected seats.
Dianne: Do you have the place chosen for the fashion show?
Rose: Joan chose, but it's a bit tight for our budget.
Monic: What space is it?
Joan: The Palace!
Dianne: Wow ... Seriously?!
Rose: I had thought in the school gym, but Joan disagrees.
Dianne: End of March, would not be possible Rose. And, to what Joan described, is too small.
Joan: Thank you, Dianne.
Dianne: Plus, the infrastructure of the Town Hall are excellent. During the Summer Festival, we had no incidents, the maintenance staff is extremely nice and attentive to what you ask for. You'd have the show as you visualized it.
Rose: I believe it. But we don't have enough funds. We continue with orders for back-to-school Collection accessories but does not cover the expense. So we have to move on to the next phase. Sponsorships. And ... We are a small brand, we have only some disclosure, I don't know if we may get it.
Joan: That's insecurity talking. It's the perfect place, you can have the fashion show you dreamed of. Don't hold it back now.
Rose: I like to keep one foot on the ground. One of us has to, it does not mean I’m being pessimistic. Simply, I dream big, but don't put the expectations that high…
Sofie: So you won’t get disappointed!
Rose: Exactly. Thanks for understanding me, Sofie.
Sofie: That's what my mom always says. "Dream big, but keep your feet on the ground. With low expectations, you’ll not get disappointed. Because only through hard work is possible to accomplish them."
Dianne: I think I have a way to help you raise more funds.
