More than human (S1 Ep.19-6)

Dianne: I already have some experience in events of this magnitude. – Said smiling, enhancing her participation in the summer festival last year. - "The important thing is to be prepared for the unexpected." To quote my beloved mentor. Let's get everything ready in time don't worry. The maintenance and decoration crews have done an extraordinary job.
Joan: If you like what you see so far, believe me, in two weeks, you're going to love even more.
Rose: Thank you, girls. I love you!
Monic: Oh ... Come on, group hug.
We unite all in a giant hug.
Rose: Is missing here our Sofie.
Joan: And speaking of Sofie, gifts! Do you already have any ideas?
Dianne: They are getting here at any time, let's get the coffees and we talked it out, okay?
Joan: Let’s go!

On the way to the living space, of the maintenance room of the Palace, we have used the fact that we are gathered without Sofie to speak about her birthday, coming next weekend! With most of our available time spent working for the fashion show, she thinks we forgot. At least act like it. We're actually preparing her a surprise party!
It is not easy to surprise Sofie, as much as she reacts as if she was, she is too attentive to the details, there is always something that captures from us, a little expression or a small phrase that it reveals our intention.
Joan: Should we coordinate the gifts?
Monic: Rose thought of offering a "Secret Pillow". I thought in a diary to match. We can play with this theme, what do you think?
Joan: Good! Rose, can you do one of those accessories to the head of a pencil?
Rose: A tip? Yes, of course! In a Butterfly, right?
Joan: Yes! Be quirky! You know Sofie likes details.
Rose: Sure. - Waved to her accordingly.
Dianne: And I?! - Made a pouting ... - I know! A cover for her tablet, can you do it?
Rose: Of Course!
Dianne: Turquoise, pink and in white. Sofie loves...
Sofie: Were you thinking of me?!
Before Diane could finish her sentence, from the Arch of the entrance, of the maintenance room appeared Sofie.
Joan: Hey! Here she is.
Dianne: Sofie loves working with the guys, just to finish my sentence. - And in an attempt to keep the subject off from what really we were talking, she continued. – Is it all here?
Sofie: Charlie and I came ahead, but the truck is coming. Richard comes with the Professor. Miguel sent a message, will take Pedro at home and coming here, we need at least another pair of hands to help unload the truck.
Rose: I help. Will you take the coffees to the Lake?
Dianne: Of Course. We meet you there.
Sofie: See you, girls.
We left the girls and went to the entrance of the garden. When we got there Charlie already was accompanied by professor and Richard.
Rose: Good morning Professor, Richard.
Prof. Samuel: Good morning! We can take the material inside?
Rose: Sure. The maintenance crew arrives only after nine, we're free to circulate. Tomorrow the inspector comes to do a primary inspection, do you think it all can be mount until there?
Richard: Yes, we can. Once we get the boxes inside, we started to mount.
Prof. Samuel: By the end of the afternoon we have the first test done.
Rose: That would be perfect.
Prof. Samuel: Let's go to work. Did you take a reinforced breakfast?
Rose: Yes. The girls are preparing us coffees. Do you want to eat something with it?
Richard: I'm fine, thank you.
Prof. Samuel: Coffee is great.
Rose: Charlie?
Charlie: At the mid-morning, I’ll accept, but for now, I'm fine.
Charlie jumped into the truck and distributed the first boxes to professor and Sofie. Both would be already on stage, starting off the mount.
Richard and I follow them, each with a box in hand, too. After we leave the stage we went back to the truck.
On our way I heard a creak. Had a weird feeling. Something wasn't right, I felt a chill, again, it went through my neck, again.
Rose: Is that shaking?
Richard: I heard it too. - Looked up and continued. - These structures are safe. Must be the wind hitting the canvas.
HII ... Zas.
Rose: RICHARD!
I looked up and saw the beam holding all the entrance coming down on us, taking the structure suspended by it falling apart. It was all so fast! I don't know how, but I had a feeling this was going to happen and to hear the creaking, a second time, I tried to push Richard out of the way by instinct. But he was faster than me, holding my hand, he pulled me and stood over me. At the moment he stopped the beam with his body everything got motionless. My heart was raised, my breathing completely changed, and at that very moment, in my thought "Mikhael, I need you!" I couldn't think of anything else, if I would be hurt, if I would survive the violence of such impact, none of this troubled me at the time, I just wanted him to save Richard…
But what I saw changed me... Was not horror, nor fear of his transformation. Something in me wanted to see him in his full form. The words of Joan invaded me, "mermaids, wolves, fairies..." such as the desire to see such creatures. "Would it be possible?! Everything she said it would be really true?! There was a time when these beings were free and together lived with humans without fear?" The change in me was the power of compassion, screaming to protect him...
The eyes of Richard was a dark red, almost black. He was frozen in front of me when I heard this voice telling me to get out of there. The beam seemed to crush him, but with his strength stopped it before reach me. I dragged myself back, dodging it and as soon as I was free of it reach the time went back to normal. That beam would have crushed both, how did he do that?!
PAA ...
Richard: Aah! - Hit him in the back and with no rebound fell back.
Rose: Richard your eyes ... They were ... - I heard a snap and with it his face was back to normal. - Were all black. – I was scared ... But his strength, the mystery that involved him right now, much more captivated me.
Richard: Are you all right, Princess?
Rose: Yes. – Said shaking a little.
Richard: Don't be afraid!
Rose: How did you do this?
