The nature of your true Brightness (S1 Ep.3-2)
Our little celebration for beginning of vacation was coming to an end, it was almost noon and after lunch was waiting for us an afternoon of cleaning in the school gym, so we made our way back home and for all the way we were sharing ideas for our new summer work.
However, there was another matter, though it still hadn't been mentioned, was not forgotten…
Rose: We meet here at 2 pm, then!?
Joan: Ok!
Rose: See you latter Joan.
Joan: See you later! Ah, Rose, I meant to ask! Did you find out to who the mask belongs?
Rose: No. I have it at home. It does not belong to any of the girls, it’s not yours, I don't know where it came from.
Joan: This is very strange. When you were looking for a mask for my birthday, you wouldn't have this stored by there, among the others carnival things?
Rose: No, I've never seen that mask until yesterday. I'm sure of it!
Joan: Seriously?! Because I think I've seen it before. It could have fallen into the bags…
Rose: I knew it! It was you, wasn't it?
Joan: No Rose, I swear it wasn't. I have a feeling I've seen it, I'm not sure where, but I think it was with you, or on you. – Her expression revealed the effort she made to remember. For a moment her sure of it made me doubt myself. I know that has no logical sense, but in a way, I felt the same way when I saw that mask, a strange sense of belonging, however, I had no memory of ever having had it, even as a child.
Rose: It’s not mine. As I said, I've never seen it before! You must be confusing.
Rose: I have it at home and there will be up to the owner shows.
Joan: Have you talked to the girls?
Rose: Yes, none took it. I even thought of posting some flyers at school...
Joan: Hum, I don’ think that a good idea. If you want to remain anonymous.
Rose: Ya! That was the reason I gave up the idea. Would add more frenzy about who wore it, would not give a good result. I'm pleased to have participated… It was great to see the reactions to our work.
Joan: You have an innate talent. And you shined when you did the catwalk with simple and funny way, the whole school loved. I believe that if they find out it was you, they'd be as surprised as fascinated…
Rose: Maybe, but I… I… - As I imagine last night, how, so relaxed, I got carried away during my catwalk across the stage, I flushed a little.
Joan: You did well! Cheer up, it was just an idea. Our secret is safe.
Rose: Thank you, Joan. I'm going home, we meet after lunch.
Joan: Of course! See you later.
