Guided by a dream (S1 Ep.4-6)
As I returned to my bedroom Joan, on her Vespa, followed to her grandmother’s home.
Joan was looking for answers, but she wasn't the only one. Elizabeth kept her obsession with the similarities between Joan and Stella, so much that since the afternoon at the school’s bar, she was trying whatever possible to learn some more about Joan’s routine, watching her closely. Wanted to get absolutely certain if both were the same person. It may seem impossible, however, Elizabeth knew better.
When she got to grandma's Beatrice house, Joan parked near to the garage and headed to the family cemetery. Where fearlessly entered immediately in the Mausoleum.
And as in her dream, Joan addressed to the sepulchre, which was sealed now. There lay the matriarch that sent to build all this building, not only the Mausoleum, as well as the Ancient Library that would be hidden under this. Sought the revolving stone, rotated it to one side, then to the other and back to the other. Feeling as she was being guided by her dream gave a step back while observing the sepulchre slide to the side, giving an opening to stairs, leading to a lower level. As she followed down the stairs, the light in ceiling lit itself and as expected she found a round room coated with shelves full of books.
Joan knew what she had to do next and as she approached more to that place, more she wanted to unravel. She was terrified and excited at the same time. She had to see the Ancestral Library, needed to know their secrets, wanted to regain mastery over herself and nothing else was going by her thoughts beyond the title of the book that would be the key to enter, "The truth will set you free". Looked at her left and with a slight movement of her hand pulled the book. The bookcase moved forward and then slid to the side revealing a huge space to Joan. The decoration was as old as the time of the reports of her grandmother.
Joan: How?! I… I… I can't believe what my eyes see. What am I?!
Incredulous about what stood before her, not only by the impossibility of such space be existent as by the fact that she has found it following each step set out in her dreams. If this dream was part of her reality, "Had she actually released an enchantment on herself? Would mean the old inquisitors, who chased her and me, Rose, or as she called me in her dream Katarina, that we possed some kind of power?"
The horror with she dreamed couldn't be real, still, the fear that insurged on the doubt made her see more beyond what she knew. Why would she be pursued? Why would someone wish me so harm? Would this be real?! Was she living a new life, experiencing every memory of her past life?
Joan: Oh my God, don't allow it! – Said to herself fearing my destiny. – Will Rose be as me? If she is, she won’t survive the pain of these memories…
