The other me (S1 Ep.7-11)
I understand Joan’s concern
but every time she arrived with a new order for some more pieces presented in
the fashion show at school, my confidence in the project increased. I felt that
this was my destiny, to take warm clothes and beauty, in the form of outfits
and accessories to people was my purpose, my gift. And have her full support in
this passion of mine were the origin of what now we experienced.
Joan: The collection is
fantastic! For real Rose, it’s very good, these last pieces that you add up are amazing. Now I see the reason for the dark circles in your eyes, what I don't
understand and it is making some species
for some time is the reason for the pseudonym.
Rose: Well, at the show I felt
good because I was with the mask, that where it came from is still a mystery. It
gave me confidence and strength to move on. So, when I was working on the site
and on social networks I had the idea of the mask very present and suddenly came to me the name Mystery.
Joan: Okay, I think I follow
you! You want our brand to be successful, but you don't want personal
recognition for that!? Is that it?
Rose:
In other words, Yes!
Joan: Therefore, I want to
create my alter ego as well.
Rose: That would be
hilarious! How would you call her, so to speak?
Joan: Isn't it obvious? I’ll
be Red Kiss! I love to wear my lips red
as roses and now I have the perfect excuse!
Rose: Red Kiss! I like it.
Joan: I am imagining some
costumes for fashion shows already. We
need to spread the word about our website and social networks. We need the
media attention to have a got adherence to our fashion show.
Rose: I agree! I've been
thinking about distributing a few pieces
at school, what do you say?
Joan:
Is a great idea!
Rose: I have some extra pieces,
which I made from the back-to-school collection.
Joan: Wow Rose, they are
beautiful, make a set for me, okay?
Rose: The red set is yours. With the school year beginning so close, I had to do some custom accessories for us,
one colour for each of the girls.
Joan: We will post it,
right? In "Back to School Collection"?
Rose: It is a short collection
and we got what we showed at the festival, I don't think it's worth it.
Joan: The same pieces but
customized!? It is worth it! From now on we post all that you do.
With these words of Joan, I couldn't help feeling a certain weight
coming down on my shoulders. For these little moments, for these small words,
the fear of been dreaming too high, the fear of failure, invaded me again. I
think the biggest fear that really had it was the fear of disappointing those
who supported me!
When the demotivation tries
to take over, it's not easy to get around it, however, the confidence in myself
must be greater, my desire to achieve my dream has to be stronger!
