All Saints Day (S1 Ep.10-3)
Friday, November 1
Today is a holiday, but it
was not a day to stay at home. There are no classes, however, cleaning the
space of the last night party had to be done. I hoped the girls weren't upset
with me for going home so early. I didn't know how I got so sick, but last night
was really weird. Looks like I hit my head and that gave me this empty space,
this black image as if I didn't remember something or someone… “Dear diary, I don't feel
myself. What's wrong with me!?”
On my way to school, I saw lots of kids with their baskets, they
were asking bread-by-God. A tradition from here where at November 1, All Saints Day, children go from door to door
asking for bread-by God. Normally get candy, but there are also those who give
a few nickels. I still remember when Monic and Dianne joined us and we were all
together for the first time. We took a backpack with our lunch and spent all
day from house to house. We did a lot of jokes in the middle, played a lot, we
ate some of the candy we received, not many
because at the end of the day we were competing to see who had the bag overfilled.
With this in mind before
arriving at the school, I went to the supermarket to get some candies. Maybe a
little pampering would soften my apology.
Monic: So Rose, are you
better? Joan left us a message last night
saying that you had gone home early because you felt bad!
Rose: Yes, it's true! Joan
said I drank some punch. It must be true
because I don't remember much from last night.
Dianne: Our little Rose it is
coming out, very well...
Sofie: Or, maybe, it was the
food! During the concert, we felt a little sick too.
Rose: I owe you an apology.
I know how much would like us...
Sofie: You don't have to
apologize.
Monic: Of course not, you're
okay and that's all that matters! Clearly,
you've been tired, we understand. But you have to devote more hours to dreams.
Rose: It is also true. Tell
me, have you girls won?
Monic, Sofie and Dianne
looked at each other and together said… - We were in second place!
Dianne: Each with 50 euro
voucher for shopping. A beautiful gift of bread-by-God!
Rose: Good. Congratulations
girls. And speaking of Bread-by-God, I brought you a treat.
Monic, Sofie e Dianne: Thank
you!
Rose: A sweetie apology.
Sofie: Let's go inside.
Rose: And Joan, have you
seen her?
Dianne: We thought you would
come together.
Rose: Me too. I rang the doorbell but was Carol that response. Said Joan
had already left.
Dianne: Weird... We didn't
see she arrive.
Rose: You girl go ahead, I'm
going to wait a little longer and I’ll be with you soon.
