Kat and his routine (S1 Ep.10-9)
We were directed at work. In the middle of the afternoon, we did a short break for a snack, in which, mother, used to take care of the washing machine, meanwhile, I washed the dishes and Joan played with Kat.
It's amazing the number of hours he sleeps! In the school days I can't precise, but when I'm home, although I spend most of the time in the sewing room, I always come look for him from time to time. And when we do the pauses for lunch or snack if he's awake is running, chasing something in the backyard. For fifteen to twenty minutes is full of energy, then, do some breaks, move with a little less energy, until it turns out to be just looking at us as if he was saying "you're good, I played a little with you! Now let me rest a little bit. Go, go on to your work."
After a few repetitions of this attitude, I got even more attentive to my furry baby and, without exaggeration, he sleeps, or at least pretends to sleep, about 14 hours a day. I didn’t stay yet a fully night awake, to see if he's lying in bed or if he’s walking around the house. I had felt him leaving the room, but I always go back to sleep and I don't know when he comes back.
In the mornings when I get up, I started to note that he has his own routine. Rises up too, go to the sandbox and then goes to the kitchen to wait for his breakfast. Then goes outside. Before I go to school or before I got to the sewing room, I always look for him and there he is in the backyard bordering his gums in plants. In the middle of the morning, when I’m at home, I check him and there he is lying on the couch!
Near midday, he starts meowing as who orders lunch. Comes to the bedroom wash himself and goes back to bed. In the afternoon snack he is asleep, all stretched wide, back on the sofa, or is on the backyard after mosquitoes, but when he listens to the steps on the stairs he knows that a bit of ham or turkey awaits and rushes inside, with a softly meowing.
Joan: Every day, it seems like he's bigger!
Rose: You have that perspective because you don't see him every day. For me he still a little baby.
Joan: You probably right but he ir real big. So cute. Hum… - When mom went out with the laundry basket she continued… - Rose, tomorrow I can’t come.
Rose: All right. Don't worry, there's no problem.
Joan: Your mother won't be upset?
Rose: Oh silly, of course not! She helps in any way she can, but the responsibility to take the project forward it’s ours.
Joan: And you, are you upset?
Rose: I'd like you to know that you can open up to me, but I'm not upset. You have your reasons and I respect that. - Joan was thoughtful, however, added nothing more. -Look, I'm just going to help my mother stretch the clothes and then we go to the sewing room.
Joan: I help too...
Rose: There's no need, really. And your godson is appreciating the cuddles.
Joan: Okay. - After I headed to the clothesline Joan got a paper sheet and kept a little bit of Kat´s hair. In a low tone said... - Ignis I need your help to find our heritage...
