The Halloween party (S1 Ep.9-12)
Tuesday, October 31
When we are too busy time seems to fly. From the general rehearsal to the battle of the bands was a leap.
Although the general rehearsal was fantastic now, with all the light sets, with the effects of the images, their presentation is wonderful, a unique moment, so especially, so magical that made me dream about the fashion shows that I ambition. With each flash of light, my dream seemed to win colour, texture... The full pavilion, the catwalk completely illuminated and glowing. The girls singing and the models stand out with my pieces. All the Halloween scene full of glamour, a collection completely based on mythically supernatural creatures. The desire to draw invaded me, register each flash visualized on paper was a necessity.
Joan: The costumes are great Rose. Rose! Rose, are you okay?
Rose: Hum?! Yes! – I was focused on my ideas, but when Joan called me I felt this strange feeling again. – Wow, that's weird. This feeling again. The other day I felt the same way… Wick and numb…
Joan: You drank to must of punch!
Rose: No, Joan! I didn’t!
Joan: Right, it's not the punch. Is the love that's in the air. Come on, I walk you home.
Rose: You don't have to. I'm fine, but if anything I call my mom or I ask Charlie to take me.
Joan: No way, your mother certainly put you grounded and we don't need to worry your brother. I take you, come on.
Rose: All right. – Her insistence was strange, besides that, was her relaxed look that aroused my sense of alert. Something wasn't right and Joan knew more than she wanted to disclose, however, her unsubtle attitudes in a constant attempt to disperse the subject that I was aware, increased me away from her confidence, from her credibility. - I'm just going to take a little air outside, okay. I'm not leaving, the girls would forgive me.
Joan: They will understand, the health is first. – With the pronounce of this word she looked at me with such intensity that I couldn't resist making her will and strangely her will became mine too. I know what Joan says is true, but I couldn't help feeling that a part of me was at the party and that's where I wanted to be.
We went out thru the back door, which gave access to the parking lot, thankful it was deserted, I didn't want to go through the shame of being caught with a bad drink, which was not the case.
Rose: For real, Joan, I just needed some air.
Joan: Do you feel better? It's too hot in there, may it have been that, too.
Rose: Yes, I am! Definitely, it was that you know I don't do very well with the heat.
Joan: You have been tired with everything you do and you always volunteer to help everyone.
Rose: You're right, that's probably right, but I don't know how to explain it, I feel ...
Joan: Rose LOOK OUT! – With her screaming in distress for me, she pushed me away. Her reaction was so fast that I didn't even get a perception about the strange words she uttered.
Rose: Joan! What... - I don't know where it came from, I don't know what it was, I just know that I saw Joan turning something to powder with a single gesture of her hand...
Joan: Come on, hurry!
Rose: What have you done, JOAN? - I was terrified. What did Joan do?
Joan: Run, come on! Let's go inside. – With holding hands and doubling the walk, we went back to the gym. She guided me to the aisle, near the locker room. Held my head with both hands and said. - Listen to me. You're not feeling well and you want Charlie to take you home.
Rose: Joan, I don't feel well, would you mind calling Charlie to take me home?
Joan: Of course I’ll do it, wait here for a while. Don't go outside, okay?
Rose: All right! – She left me there, half atatonic, and went looking for Charlie.
