Surprise (S1 Ep.12-14)

Today Sofie is back, after lunch we have a little surprise

for her. But until then I had time. My mood was better and wanted to do something for us, something that symbolizes our friendship. For some time I was working on a symbol that represents a part of each of us, however, my question was now the object where I could apply it. And then it came to me. Each one of us has your custom purse-coin from Kat Rose Fashion, why not add a keychain!?

Put hands to work and before I left home to go to Sofie’s I had the five keychains ready.

Sofie's father was leaving to get to the airport and with his authorisation, we went to the garage, where we set up a small reception and celebration party.

Mr Moniz: Sofie, will you go to the garage get your bike, please?

Sofie: What's wrong with it?

Mr Moniz: Your brother found it with the back tire empty.

Sofie: It can't be, this week I have not used it.

All: Surprise!

Sofie: Oh! What are you doing here?!

Dianne: Celebrate of course. Your arrival and the continuation of our band.

Rose: And with a celebration always goes well a gift! I brought you a little something. One for each.

Sofie: Five?

Rose: Counting with me, of course. You're about to see.

Monic: What is it, Rose?

Rose: The symbol of our friendship, one element for each one of us. What do you think?

Sofie: It's beautiful, thank you!

Monic: Not to change the subject, but how was the trip, tell us about it?

Sofie: Was great. And I can say that, although the tests showed that everything was fine, my mother and I were in need of this time for us. It was like therapy. And much to thanks to your friend Rose.

Rose: Who?!

Sofie: Francis?! I saw you saying good-bye to him. After passing the inspection, I saw him sitting alone, looked worried. Flying is not easy for those who are afraid, I wanted to give him a word of comfort and, somehow, he ended up helping me too.

Rose: Seriously? How? - I looked at Joan, seemed to recognize the name. Her expression began to change. The joy we shared with the girls was no longer on her face.

Sofie: Made me realize that the solution sometimes is within us. The answers we are looking for, are closer than we recognize. We stay so focused on the problems that we don't see them.

Joan: What did you say his name was?

Sofie: Francis! It was nice talking to him, the conversation flowed so naturally, it seemed like we knew each other. Maybe because you have spoken of us. An act of fate, perhaps.

Joan looked at me like she felt betrayed.

Dianne: Wait a minute, this tantrum between you is because of a boy?!

Joan: What tantrum? I'm not upset, I'm disappointed.

Rose: Yes, like you have reasons for that.

Joan: Rose, this is not the time nor place.

Rose: Never is Joan.

Monic: Oh, oh, oh. What is going on here?

Sofie: Girls? It’s a day to celebrate, not to get upset.

Dianne: You guys are full of secrets and then this is what happens.

Joan: Secrets?!

Dianne: Yes, I find it very strange you two spending all that time together and then have nothing to share with us.

Monic: Dianne saw some draws of Rose the other day and got the idea that you don't just work for Kat Rose Fashion as you created it.

Dianne: Few know Rose as well as us and we know that she loves to draw and make her own accessories. I can't stop thinking about how many of the pieces I saw of the company you’re representing, are too similar to the sketches of Rose to be a coincidence. So, do you want to tell us why didn't you tell us sooner that you are representing yourself?!
