The Christmas Eve dinner (S1 Ep.14-9)

The Sunrise came too fast. I woke up shattering with the intense light that invaded my bedroom. Promised to help mom with the dishes for later. I didn’t hear the alarm and it was almost noon. There was still much to do.
Rose: I’m sorry mom. I overslept.
D. Marya: It's okay. You've been tired. You could use a little more sleep every now and then, you know?
Rose: Yes, I do, but…
D. Marya: What grinning is that?
Rose: Mom, do you mind if I had to invite another person to dinner?
D. Marya: No, of course not! It's Christmas all are welcome, you know that, right? -Although it is in fact Christmas she is always is so generous and understanding. Loves to have a "full house" as she calls it. – A flirt from school?
Rose: No, no! Nothing like that.
D. Marya: Hum huh. Definitely a flirt!
Rose: Seriously mom, it's not like that!
D. Marya: All right! Then who is?
Rose: Is one of the teachers, I had the opportunity to speak with him at the party of the city…
D. Marya: Oh… The one from the dance!
Rose: He is not from here, so I thought ...
D. Marya: He will be very welcome!
Rose: Thank you!

"Well, that went better than I expected! Does she know something I don't? No, you got your head full enough, you don't need to put more worms in your thoughts."
Mini-pizzas, Pates, sweet from pumpkin and carrots, crackers, snacks ... Were a substantial part of the table for the snacks before dinner.
Gradually my brothers and friends were arriving with their bags in hands, all but Lea. I think her absence is one of the reasons why mother so quickly accepts new visitors. Over time the children will learn their own way, sometimes it takes them away from parents. The hope that their children, regardless of age, are so well received as she welcomes everybody, gives her some comfort in the distance between them.
The supper time was approaching and he wasn't here. Even Charlie's friends who arrived later, just come in!
D. Marya: Does your friend come, Rose? Call him!
"I would, but I don't have his number or any other contact!" So I thought.
Charlie: Rose, do you want to join us in the songs later?
Rose: My vocal cords are not very good, but thank you, Charlie. – To be honest, I would love to go with them, but I was sad and I didn’t feel like going.
D. Marya: Please! – Hit with the spoon in the glass – Attention! The table is ready.
"He's not coming." I looked one last time for the entry, but nothing ... Had a little hope that he would show up! We went, then, to the garage, as we looked over the place, searching for our name in the papers, I put a smile to disguise my sadness, waving heartily to those present. His name was right there in front of me. I stretched my arm to reach the paper and remove it from there. Didn't want to spend the rest of the night wondering "what if", when I heard a voice from the door…
Seth: Good night! Excuse me for interrupting. - My heart stopped at the sound of his voice!
D. Marya: Oh, professor Seth. It's okay. Come on in! You arrived just in time.
Seth: This is for you. – Said extending a bag that he carried in his hand.
D. Marya: Thank you! Make yourself at home. At the end of the table has your name marked.
With mother’s indication started walking towards me. At every step, the looks were turning to him. Quickly I unfold the paper with his name and put it back to its place, in the precise moment he stood in front of me!
