The True Origin (S1 Ep.4-9)
Joan: Grandma! Now I know the secret that the Mausoleum guards… The magic of that place is incredible. Look what I found!
Mrs Beatrice: Oh my dear, you found your spellbook.
Joan: Our family is descendant of the spiritual warriors, we are real witches.
Sra. Beatrice: I think it's time for you to know your true origin... Come, sit by your grandmother. – Joan approached her, put the books on the couch and sat on the carpet waiting to hear what her grandmother had to tell. – Long ago, for more than a millennium, in an ancient Kingdom, there was a family adored by all. This family had the gift to keep the balance between nature and all its creatures, through spiritual capabilities. For years the Kingdom prospered under their protection, but the envy of its wealth insurged a group, which self-proclaim the inquisitors. This group made their mission to capture all the elements of the Kingdom that possessed such capabilities. In a tragic night, they stormed the castle, managing to capture the Prince and the Princess. The Prince's sister, the Infanta Rebecca, managed to escape through the tunnels of the dungeon. Before they leave the castle, the Infanta and the warriors who accompanied her, helped Rebecca perform a ritual, abdicating from their power so that she could keep alive all their spirits, along with the history and wisdom of their people. Few were those who managed to escape from the castle, but for centuries, those who did, continued to be persecuted and many innocent people were executed during the search of the inquisitors.
Joan: And what happened to the Prince and to the Princess?
Mrs Beatrice: When captured, the magic of the Prince didn't stand a chance against the instruments of the inquisitors, they were very well prepared, they knew that these people lived on the principle that life is sacred and no one has the right to take it, God gave it and only God can take it back, as such, all resistance that the spiritual warriors offer never compare to the wickedness revealed by these inquisitors. The Princess, without any special ability, besides her kindness and generosity, was completely at their mercy. They burned her alive as an example to those that remained hidden, as they forced the Prince to watch. Revolted, the Prince vowed that on his death would be revenge for all those who committed that heinous crime.
Joan: Oh, my God, what a tragedy! What happened to Rebecca? – At the instant of her question, Joan remembered the man who moments ago called her Rebecca. - Grandma! Am I... Am I the Infanta? Am I the Prince's sister, Rebecca?!
Mrs Beatrice: Yes, my dear! The warriors abdicated their magic for you to survive and so, through the continuity of your spirit on earth they would have their victory. Making their people light, greatness and wisdom reign in this world through you. The ritual that you did that night, keep your spirit alive and when the solar cycle cross fate with the lunar cycle of your incarnation, will rise to your reincarnation.
Joan: Light, greatness and wisdom, as my favourite flower! - Realizing all the grief that involves her history, a melancholy feeling invade her and with her eyes in tears asks. - Grandma, who is the man that takes care of the flowers at the entrance of the Mausoleum of our family?
Mrs Beatrice: Oh, my dear, you're starting to figure it out. This gift involves a weight so heavy... There my dear. – Said wiping away one of Joan’s tears. - He can't stay away since he felt you back, he comes here to take care of your flowers, always hoping to see you.
Joan: Mikhael?! How it’s possible!
Mrs Beatrice: Grandma would love to tell you the whole story, it's so tragic as incredible, full of perseverance examples, however, you must, for yourself, find it out. You will have to retrieve your memories. So much more there is to tell. It will be a difficult process, many emotions to take in. With your wisdom, you will overcome this period ahead. And anytime you need comfort, strength, Grandma will be here for you!
