The power of the positive thinking (S1 Ep.18-8)
I
took a deep breath and tried to concentrate on the feeling I woke up with,
leaving the anxiety out. It was not easy, because fear persisted, however, I
clung to the inspiration that was invading me, early in the morning, embracing
this positive experience, trying to let the fears aside.
With
the sound of the bell, Dianne and Monic said goodbye and headed to their classroom.
Dianne:
Girls we have to go. After school we meet in the lab, okay?
Joan:
Deal!
Monic:
Rose, how do you feel?
Rose:
I'm well, Monic, thank you! Go assured. – I was fine, I felt fine, I couldn't
understand why my body reacted like that, why my mind had blocked that way, still
and despite the anxiety, I felt fine. - Joan, I'll wait a bit for Richard, he said
he'd be back…
Joan:
We're already late, I send him a message. And later we talk to him.
Rose:
But he had the trouble of ...
Joan:
Come on, it's okay. You need not be scared. If they come to us imagine you're
in the stan, smiled and give the information that they ask about, okay?
Rose:
Okay!
Joan
was right, wasn't that different of being in the stand talking about something
I love. In fact, the attentions were focused on our work. I regained control
and follow her thru the empty corridors into the classroom. In the two
following breaks, I kept relaxed by the window of the Hall, composing the
sketches that had begun in the morning. In the brief ensuing approaches replied
in a serene and assertive way as I did in the stand.
The
afternoon passed with a mixture of feelings and with the will to do more. After
the impact of the reception that we had as we arrived at school, in fact, I
loved the enthusiasm that wandered through the hallways when talking of the fashion
show that was going to happen next month, however, I couldn't avoid this fear
inside, deep down I know why I was feeling like this... I was afraid of not
being up to the expectations of all those who supported us.
When
we arrived at the lab was a little embarrassed. I would like to thank Richard
and apologize for not have waited.
Rose:
Richard, can I talk to you?
Richard:
Of Course Rose! – We stepped away briefly.
Rose:
Thank you for earlier and I'm sorry I have not waited in the library.
Richard:
No need to apologize, Rose. Joan texted me. You look better. – Smiled in
sympathy to his words. - Let's see the presentation?
Rose:
Of Course! - Smile in appreciation, feeling my cheeks completely rosy,
professor Samuel was radiant when looking at us, for my thoughts passed his
last words in the sense of Cupid. How I wish he wouldn't mention anything about
it.
We
discussed some important points of the presentation and we schedule to next
Saturday a meeting in the garden of the Palace. Was the time needed for
mounting the stag.
I
felt a little uncomfortable with some of the comments of professor Samuel, the
mere idea of Mikhael be watching and could misunderstand our approach worried
me, not because I felt something for Richard, was not the case at all, but by the
fear of hurting him wanted such much be able to share with him these moments.
We were so happy with the progress we did, the project was winning forms at every
step and I wish to share with Mikhael all of this excitement we were go thru,
not only for giving us an opportunity, above all for being a part of me.
Diane
was not indifferent to the comments of professor Samuel, when we left the lab she
could not resist to leave her observation.
Dianne:
What was that? Professor Samuel thinks there is something between you and
Richard?
Monic:
Couldn't be further from the truth.
Rose:
I don't know, but he is single-minded...
Sofie:
And like being a matchmaker, but doesn't do any harm. He thinks we spent too
much time in the lab and we forget our social life.
Joan:
The truth to tell, Richard is a good match.
Dianne:
I can't believe!? You ... - Joan blushed. - You and Richard?
Joan:
No! Just think ... - gulped. - Well, he is handsome, intelligent, generous ...
Monic:
And it's a good match. – Smiled with her affirmation, making that expression
that always does when it seems she knows more than all of us.
Rose:
How do you do that Monic? Did you girls notice? She always knows something
about us, that sometimes it seems, that we don't see it.
Joan:
Terra has always had a powerful
instinct.
Monic:
What?! I am the guardian of nature?
Joan:
Yes, you are! And as nature is the mother of us all, you keep the secrets of all of
us. If you can let it, you will know our ambitious desires and our deepest
fears.
Rose:
Well, she knows some secrets, in truth ... - Said smiling to Sofie.
Sofie:
Why are you looking at me like that? I don't have any secrets with you!
Monic:
But you can have from yourself!
Sofie:
Okay! Although I adore puzzles don't want to talk about ghosts now and my dad is already outside waiting for us, should we go?
