So, we made our way to the Library.

From the entrance, we could already see Dianne. It was hardly surprising that she was already sitting there with her books open, ready to start the study session…

Sofie: I knew they were already here!!

Dianne is the queen of punctuality. She plans everything in advance and down to the smallest detail, in order to achieve the goals she sets for herself. True to her classic style, her keyword is timelessness. She is extremely focused and committed to everything she does, which often leads people to consider her competitive and, at times, a little cold. She tends to criticize, not only negatively but positively as well, although her good intentions are not always easy to see.

Dianne loves planning, being in control, and music. She enjoys humor and a good, clever joke. She does not like being made a fool of, especially when she is the one caught in an embarrassing situation.

Right beside her was Monic…

Monic is a friend to her friends and has a tendency to come to other people's aid. It is very common for Dianne to turn to her whenever she "thinks" she has a problem to solve. Besides being very close friends, they are also cousins.

Monic has a more laid-back style and is passionate about graphics. She is understanding and a genuinely sweet person, but she fiercely defends those she cares about and can even become someone's worst nightmare when protecting them. No matter how fragile she may seem, there is a volcano of energy inside her. She has tremendous inner strength, which helps her overcome obstacles and achieve her goals. She loves nature, spending time with her family and friends. She likes harmony and a warm family environment. She does not like conflict.

Rose, Joan e Sofie: Hi, girls.

Sofie: Have you gotten any work done already?

Monic: Hey! We just got here.

Dianne: Rose, I could use some help with the maths homework, do you mind?

Rose: Not at all. We can start with that!

Dianne: That would be great, thank you. But first things first, I need to know: Joan, do you have any ideas for your b-day party yet? We're two weeks away and you still haven't said anything about it…

Joan: Sofie asked me the same thing.

Dianne: Well, it's strange that you mentioned nothing yet. You're not having a party?!

Joan: Of course I am! This year I was thinking of having a masquerade ball.

Monic: Really! Wow…

Rose: I had the same reaction.

Dianne: Great! We have rehearsal today, but tomorrow we can go shopping. Sound good?

Joan: Definitely! Are you going to play at the end-of-year ball?

Monic: No, but you know Dianne. When it comes to preparing, she has to do it well in advance. She's already thinking about winning the Battle of the Bands in October.

Dianne: I do like winning, that's true, but that's not the point. If we're going to take part, we need to be prepared.
