The Fascination of the Masks (S1 Ep1-6)

As agreed, after-school, the girls and I met to go shopping together. Here in town, there are a little bit of everything, small and large businesses. And right in the center, next to Monic’s mother's old things shop, there is a store, completely dedicated to parties and costumes. Is a dream world. On the outside, it looks small and simple, but when you enter it is a vision, and changes you. The shop has defined the areas by topics, worked in detail, and, depending on the festive season in highlighting, you can feel the climate all over the store. It is really an invitation to enter and explore.
And we entered! The enthusiasm took over, and the fascination with exploring was installed. There were a lot of fantasies, from other times, representing other creatures, in ways as diverse as their colors and sizes. So soon we're not going anywhere, I thought with the desire to see more.
We didn't get to go far beyond the store because, as soon as we climbed the stairs near the entrance were the exhibitors with the masks for the masquerade ball and these were our focus. As intensely as it was their bright, their charm was like a small whisper, calling us to try them on! Such was our fascination that their shining beauty was reflected in the happy eyes of each one of us.
Rose: They're beautiful!
Joan: I want this. Girls come to see.
Dianne: I already chose mine too.
Sofie: Have so many choices... How to decide? I don't think I've ever been to a masquerade ball.
Monic: And each is more beautiful than the other.
Dianne: Sofie, that one is ideal for you. – Said pointing to the blue mask.
Sofie: Yes. I love blue. I’ll take it!
Monic: I liked the one with the lozenges.
Dianne: Rose, have you picked yours?
Rose: No, I'm not going to take one! I  have mine already.
Monic: Girls what do you say to a stroll by the beach? Enjoy already the summer it is to come!
Dianne: Won’t we go to the dres...
Joan: Great idea Monic, Let’s go girls!?
Sofie: Yes! Or we might be lost in time in here.

I felt a little bad, to be honest. We were faster than usual and I fear it may have been because of me. I was saving for the gift to Joan, however, going shopping with the girls is fantastic, I learn a little more about their tastes every time.
While the girls were finalizing their purchases, I looked around, there was, in fact, something at this store that captivated me, which made me feel wonderful. It felt extremely good and just like that, my mood was better.
When we left the store it felt like I had left something behind, which was strange because I only brought with me the school’s locker key, nothing else…
