We got your back (S1 Ep2-8)
Friday, June 7
Next week is the last "official" week of school, but with the Fair of Festivals and Summer Jobs, teachers choose to help students with their questions and applications. So, although it is a time of major decisions, it becomes a lot more fun, which helps to unwind from the stress of the exams. And believe me, after a week like this, we need! It was exam after exam. Finally arrived Friday, that is, the last exam of this school year.
Although a bit nervous, I was confident, because, every day that Joan had joined me to work on the pieces for the fashion show, we study together. Could not fail the exams. I promised mom that my passion for fashion design would not interfere with his studies. And I honour always my word.
Monic: Alleluia!
Dianne: This year went by so fast! The ball of the year’s end is in a week.
Rose: Tell me about it.
Dianne: So, Rose, don't you come to the ball?
Joan: It's not that. You know how she’s embarrassed, as I will also be on the catwalk with you is Rose that stays in charge of making the presentation and gives the face for the brand. So to speak.
Rose: Yes! I'm still getting used to the idea.
Sofie: It's going to be OK, you’ll see.
Monic: We will be right beside you, for anything you need.
Rose: Thank you girls, you are amazing. I just hope it goes better than the speeches in the classroom. I try to react, but ... I don't know how to explain it. As much as my mind see and review what I have to say and do my body doesn't respond. And if I push too much, well, you've seen what happens.
Joan: Come on Rose cheer up! You have all week to prepare.
Dianne: I will ask for the extension of the authorization for us to start rehearsals on Monday.
Monic: Dianne already has a plan in mind …
Dianne: … Well, we have to work on your focus, for the moment you're on stage your fears don’t block you. And the more you familiarise yourself with the space more comfortable you will be.
Joan: And we can use the time to work the hairstyles and makeup. What do you say?
Dianne: Is an excellent idea.
Joan: This will be the best fair’s week ever! - The enthusiasm was back to Joan’s expression.
For the whole weekend, I completely forget my concerns regarding the changes that gradually Joan suffered. I couldn't imagine the pain that she was going thru, in these two days she dedicated herself with heart, hiding her emotions, camouflaging her concerns with her gentle smile.
We researched several hairstyles and makeups to complete the outfits already prepared. The Sunday night arrived and while I was waiting for the sleep to take over I was contemplating the sketches that I’ve made wonder about the girl's reactions tomorrow when they see what we prepared. I’ll show them during the first rehearsal for the fashion show.
