Dear Diary,

With the school year coming to its end, the summer holidays are approaching as well as the Ball. This year's theme is "Summer Break".

For a whole week, we do, in the "Ballroom", the gym, a Fair where are displayed several proposals for summer jobs, for the festivals, as the alert for security and care, to have in them.

Of course, Diane is part of the Students’ Association, they are responsible for the organization and decoration, for much of the Fair as well as for the ball. And she asked us for help with the arrangements so this month will be intense. Between classes, preparation for exams, practice for the summer tournament and preparations for the dance, I have to find time to work on the project with Joan.

Despite being Friday, and the weekend is in sight, I don't think these two days ahead of me will be to rest, quite the contrary. I know it won't be an easy task, but, as always, I will do my best.

Monday, May 13

A week after having agreed with Joan to give us an opportunity to show my creations together, I already had some ideas on paper. And one of them would be to arrange an exhibitor of our own, at the school Fair, to have the first impact of opinions about our accessories.

The preparations for the Ball, in the gym, have already started, so at lunchtime, we come to help. And while we were making the count of the articles in the boxes I exposed my idea to Joan... 

Rose: Joan, what do you say to us getting an exhibitor in the week of the Fair? 

Joan: Are you serious? That would be great! We would be spreading the word about our summer job. We have to think about the name for the... Wait I know! 

Rose: You know what? What's coming...

Joan: And if, don’t say no already, and if we opened the Ball with a fashion show?

Rose: And how would we do that? We need authorization, models and time to plan and time to do the pieces, with just a bit over a month for the Ball is impossible.

Joan: Rose, my dear Rose, nothing is impossible! With effort and dedication, you can achieve anything, you just have to put your mind to it. So, what do you say?

Rose: I don't know, I don't think we have time for everything. We have the volleyball training, we have to help here with the decor…

Joan: Exactly! We already have the decoration, as for the authorization we talk to Diane and the models you have your best friends. – She looked at Diane and called for her. - Dianne! Could you come here for a moment?

Dianne: So girls what do you need?

Joan: This summer Rose and I are going to represent a brand that is new, we are responsible for advertising, would be too late to ask for permission to open the Ball with a fashion show. Nothing big, won't steal too much of the schedule and would help us a lot.

Dianne: Hum... I have to speak with the President of the Students’ Association and ask permission from the Director, but...

Rose: But...

Dianne: It's a great idea!

Joan: One more thing, we need models, will you accept to catwalk with us?

Dianne: Of course, what the friends are for! But let’s not put ourselves ahead, ok! I didn't know you had already arranged a summer job!

Joan: Sofie will be working with her mom and you and Monic have the festivals and bazaars’ preparations, plus the band rehearsals, you already have most of the summer planned. When we saw this opportunity we didn’t want to lose it…

Rose: It was all very fast! 

Diane: Oh, ok! I'll see what I can do and I say something later.

Joan: Thanks, Dianne!

Ya, my idea was to create just a small exhibitor with some accessories, but Joan wanted more, she would not be satisfied by this simple idea... As it is obvious. "A Fashion Show to open the Ball of Summer Holidays!?" OMG!
