Follow the Dream (S1 Ep1-13)

Monday, May 6

Are 7 am, I'm standing at the door of the Sports Hall a bit worried by the delay of Joan. She is very punctual, even when the antecedent night had some event that may have stolen a few hours of sleep. All the teammates have arrived, less Joan. She has never been late, until today. 

We live near the Sports Hall, usually, we are the first to get here, but like in everything else there is a first time, today we will be the last two to enter. "Or maybe is just me the last one." I looked at the clock again and when I decided to wait only five more minutes, I saw Joan around the corner and she wasn't looking good.

Rose: Well, Joan, what dark circles. Did you go to sleep late last night?

Joan: Not really. I just couldn't sleep well.

Rose: I imagine that the party continued way long after I went home.

"Honestly, I wish that had been the problem.” – Thought Joan as she remembered her night and everything that had happened.

Without advancing more, we went to the locker room. I had in me a certain frenzy to answer her question of yesterday. However, seeing her look tired, I figured she wouldn't be interested in the subject for now. Couldn't be more wrong!

Joan: So, Rose, do you have an answer?

Rose: Yes. But I'd rather talk later.

Joan: Come on, tell me if you want to do it or don't.

Rose: Yes. Let's try.

Joan: Good. Have you got a name for the brand? New designs? Do you need material...?

Rose: Easy Joan, after practice we speak better about this, ok?

Joan: Sure. I’m just wow! This is the best news of the day.

Rose: The day has just begun.

Joan: I know. But there is nothing that overcame this news. My little Rose accepted my idea and without needing a lot of insistence. Loved it!

Rose: I like your ideas. 

Joan: Not when it concerns you. 

Rose: It's not that...

Joan: I know, you're shy. But together we will do a good job and who knows if we're not doing fashion shows like you used to describe. Remember.

Rose: Slow down. One step at a time.

Joan: Okay, okay. Baby steps. 

Joan was really enthusiastic, full of questions and ideas to announce the new brand, our brand! Although frightened, I held my fears, I didn't want to take Joan’s smile away!

 Mom always told me to chase my dreams, believing and working hard, they can become true! And that's what I'm going to do, give a change to myself, facing with courage what is coming ahead, growing and learning a little more with each step.
